Charles Yoon has over 30 years of experience in the areas of domestic and international litigation and arbitration. He has prosecuted and/or defended a broad array of commercial disputes.
Mr. Yoon’s representative experience includes serving as an arbitrator on a $100 million International Chamber of Commerce arbitration in London and prosecuting a law firm for legal malpractice resulting in a $24 million payment. He also prosecuted numerous breach of contract and tort claims and successfully defended numerous cases brought against Korea-based conglomerates and their U.S. subsidiaries.
Mr. Yoon was previously a partner at the law firm of Thelen Reid & Priest LLP. Mr. Yoon received his B.A. from Columbia College and his J.D. from Columbia Law School. Mr. Yoon is a past President of the International Association of Korean Lawyers, a past President of the Korean American Lawyers Association of Greater New York, a past President of the Korean American Business Council of Greater New York, and a past Co-Chair of the Solo and Small Law Firm Committee of the National Asian Pacific American Bar Association. Mr. Yoon also served as the President of the Korean American Association of Greater New York and on the Board of the Council of Korean Americans. Mr. Yoon is fluent in Korean.
